The Interactive Whiteboard (IWB)

I believe that all schools have Interactive whiteboard (IWB) in their classroom. The Interactive whiteboard is used by teachers to support and enhance classroom learning in whole group teaching or small group work. IWB is linked to a data projector which displays the projected image of which the teachers and students can drag and drop objects around the board. I have used a projector before in my kindergarten classroom last year but i haven’t used an IWB of which i am looking forward to use at my prac.

Using IWB in a classroom enables students to share ideas and thoughts and become involved in their learning. I came across this site which had 101 ways to use IWB and data projectors. https://useict.wikispaces.com/100+ways+to+use+IWB+and+DP. I was amazed to see all the links to the resources that had integrated the usage of the IWB.
